Sponsor: Wine Barrel Plus

We would like to thank Wine Barrel Plus for not only allowing for the drop off of competition entries but also the donation of 5 German beer steins and a FastFerment fermentation system as prizes for winners of each category and best of show. This is Wine Barrel Plus’s second year sponsoring this club competition and we truly appreciate their support of not only our clubs but of the whole homebrewing community.

Sponsor: Adventures in Homebrewing

Celebrity Deathmash would like to thank Adventures in Homebrewing in both Taylor and Ann Arbor for not only allowing drop off of entries for the competition but also the prize donations including gift cards, bottle openers, Guinness sign, hop shots, hop candies and a beer ingredient themed shirt. As alway we appreciate their support of our competition and encourage our competitors to visit and tell them thanks.

You can do this!

There’s only a few days left to get your homebrew registered for Deathmash 2020 so make sure you have your bottles and cans, yes cans, ready to go!

This year the Celebrity Deathmash Competition will be accepting canned entries. They must be no larger than 12 ounces and be unmarked just like the bottle entries. We hope this will allow a few more of you to enter the competition that have moved on from bottling your homebrew.

Remember the last day to enter is Friday, February 14th so make sure you’re ready to rumble in Deathmash 2020.

Are You Ready? Deathmash 2020 Dates and Location

We are very excited to announce that the Celebrity Deathmash 2020 Homebrew Competition judging will be held on February 23, 2020 at Super Natural Brewing & Spirits in Livonia, Michigan. Registration will begin on Monday, January 27, 2020 and run through Friday, February 14, 2020. A link to register will be posted on the Deathmash website once registration goes live.

Every year we attempt to rotate the BJCP categories for the competition to shake things up and keep the competition fresh and possibly push homebrewers to try different things and push their comfort zone. This year’s categories (BJCP 2015) are American (1, 18, 19); Belgian (24, 25, 26); British[ish] (12, 14, 15); German (4, 5, 8, 10) and The “Brewnited Nations” (29, 30, 32). See the detailed category list on the site.
